News Daily is committed to accuracy. We take every reasonable step to verify the facts we publish — but when errors occur, we correct them openly, promptly, and transparently.

Our commitment

We believe corrections are not a sign of weakness in journalism — they are a sign of honesty. A publication that never issues corrections is either incurious about its mistakes or unwilling to be held accountable for them.

News Daily issues corrections whenever we discover, or are alerted to, a factual error in our published content.

Reporting an error

If you believe you have identified a factual error in any News Daily article, please contact us using one of the following methods:

Email: [email protected]

Subject line: “Correction request — [article title]”

Include: the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and your reasoning or supporting source if possible

We aim to acknowledge every correction request within 48 hours. Verified corrections are typically published within 72 hours.

How we issue corrections

When we determine a correction is warranted, we apply one of three approaches based on severity:

 1. Minor corrections (factual edits)

Examples: typos, small numerical errors, name spellings, date format mistakes.

These are corrected silently in the article. No correction notice is appended unless the original error materially affected meaning.

2. Substantive corrections

Examples: misstated facts, incorrect attributions, wrong figures that affect understanding.

The correction is made in the article, and a correction notice is appended to the bottom of the article in clearly identified text. The notice states what was changed and when.

*Example: “Correction (May 12, 2026): An earlier version of this article stated that the Manhattan Project began in 1941. The project was formally authorized in 1942. The article has been updated.”*

3. Major corrections

Examples: errors that fundamentally affect the conclusions of an article, misidentified subjects, or significantly inaccurate claims.

For major corrections, in addition to the correction notice, the article headline may be updated, and the correction is logged in our public Corrections Log.

Retraction policy

In rare cases where an article is found to be substantially inaccurate beyond what a correction can address, News Daily may retract the article. Retracted articles are not deleted — they are clearly labeled as retracted, with an explanation of why and what was inaccurate.

Editorial accountability

Our Editor-in-Chief, Nikola Gjakovski, has final responsibility for all corrections decisions. Any reader who is unsatisfied with how a correction has been handled may escalate the matter directly to **[email protected]**.

We track corrections internally to identify patterns and improve our editorial workflow.

What is not a correction

We distinguish corrections from updates. New developments in an evolving story are added through clearly dated update notices, not corrections. Disagreements with our analysis or interpretation are not corrections — those are differences of perspective, which we welcome through reader feedback at **[email protected]**.
